House of STEM is a network of LGBTQ+ people working in STEM in Ireland. Our aim is to give a stronger voice to LGBTQ+ scientists in Ireland, and to collaborate with international groups who are working to support our community.
What we do
As a small community-led initiative, we’re keeping it pretty simple.
- We co-organise the International Day of LGBTQ+ People in STEM.
- We organise local events for LGBTQ+ folks in STEM.
- We form a supportive professional and social network.
Why we do it
The LGBTQ+ community experience specific challenges in STEM. Our goal is to support each other, and other minoritised folks in STEM, in order to make it a more inclusive space.
Code of conduct
House of STEM is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. This code of conduct applies to all House of STEM spaces, both online and off. Anyone who violates this code of conduct will be expelled from these spaces.
